The Wi-Fi Password Validation Window ensures that you validate your Wi-Fi password(s) that is in the Encrypted Network Password before you can clone the Wi-Fi password. There are two ways to perform cloning:
You can clone the Wi-Fi Password to another radio via CPS Clone Radio, Clone Express, or Batch Programming. You can also clone the Wi-Fi Password to another file via the CPS or assigning template (select template, import CSV) via RMC (Radio Management Client).

In CPS, a Wi-Fi Password Validation window prompts the user to enter the password of each network record in the Encrypted Network Password. This happens when the user presses the Clone Button on the Clone Radio, the Clone Express Button on the Clone Express Window, or the Start button on the Batch Programming window. |

In RMC, a Wi-Fi Password Validation window prompts the user to enter the RMC password of each network record in the Encrypted Network Password. This happens when the user presses the OK button on the Select Template Window during assignment of template to a radio. |

In RMC, a Wi-Fi Password Validation window prompts the user to enter the password of each network record in the Encrypted Network Password. This happens when the user selects a .csv file that changes the current template and presses the Open button on the Import CSV window. |

When the password you input does not match the password in the Encrypted Network Password, the validation requires you to input the password again after a waiting period. If you fail to validate your password again, the waiting period will be longer. |

There is a 15-minute timer in CPS. This timer is activated after you have successfully input your Wi-Fi Password. If you perform another cloning activity (Clone Radio, Clone Express, Batch Programming, Template Assignment, or Import CSV) before the timer expires, you are not required to input your password again. However, if you continue to clone a radio or a file before the timer expires, the timer will reset. |
Wi-Fi Password Validation is only necessary between radios with Wi-Fi functionality, and
when Wi-Fi Enable is enabled, and
there must be at least one Wi-Fi password.
